enjoy a sundowner. The canoe is useful for short trips in the near surroundings. |

However, nice is the Polynesian Katamaran that strolls along the shore, apparently for the meeting of mayors. |

Besides beautiful wooden figures and tapas (marquesian
paintings on very thin wood), there are also exquisite stone figures and
unique bone-carvings (from Beef bones). But also in Taiahoe there is always something new to discover, like this old stone sculpture of a historical Polynesian canoe. More from Nuku Hiva in the coming week, Tom & Nela |
