Well, here we are, back again, and still in Trinidad.
Last week we worked a lot again and got a lot done, even though some things
only come along slowly and other need to be delayed time and time again, due
to the weather.
Due to the weather since it's the rainy season here and the weather does go
mad. It pours down a few times a day, which causes the work to be delayed.
But we are getting things done.
On the mechanical side everything is in order, serviced or repaired and ready
for take off.
The countdown has started!
Last week we were still determined to leave here on September 3 the latest.
If nothing goes wrong, that's what we said!
What went wrong was the delivery of the anchor winding system. That only arrived
in Trinidad today (09.03).
Now that thing only has to go through customs and then it will hopefully be
built in early tomorrow (Wednesday).
IF that happens we will sign out tomorrow and, in the afternoon, get on our
way to Chacachacare where we'll spend a day and set course for Venezuela on
late Thursday afternoon.
It's about 90 miles to Los Testigos and we should be able to make them in
16 hours.
Well, if and when we left Trinidad and reached Venezuela can be read up here
next Tuesday. Then everything will be back to the usual and SILVER BLUES log
will be displayed here every week.
So, see you again
next week here,
same time same place!
so long
