From Suva we continued to sail east towards the "Garden
Island" Taveuni…
Called so, because everything grows so proliferous, and all of
the endemic fruit and vegetables can be found here in large amounts.
Also, everything seems to be a little bit bigger, like the fern.
The reason is simple, there is ample rainfall on Taveuni and
so there are beautiful waterfalls on the island, where one can
take a refreshing bath.

But also walking about, in the fragrant air, on
the fern and flower bordered paths is a pure joy.
|
| The island only has a few secure
anchor places, so most of the time we anchor in the opposite Viani
Bay on Veti Levu. Situated close to our anchorage place is the
world-renowned diving spot, the rainbow reef. Here, besides the
"white wall" and "purple wall" which obtain
their names from being steep walls covered with soft corals of
the respective colour, there is an abundance of marine life. Here
are some examples, besides the beautiful corals, like sand-eels,
the goby and the rare long nose hawk fish. |

After the nice time here, it is back to the west coast, where
in the "Hurrican-Hole" of Musket Cove, SILVER BLUE will
spend some time by herself.

At the end of this month, we are flying
to Europe for 4 month into our beautiful home country Slovenia.
So we hope to see you here again, here in February 2006.
Till then, our best wishes to all SILVER BLUE's friends
Everything of the best!
